Healthcare advisory · Founder-led · Receipts-first

Operators first.Advisors second.

Operating scars, multiple exits achieved, and an active investor’s view of the market. Applied to your next move. We tell you what to do, what not to do, and how to succeed. And we have the receipts to back it up.

The problem

Healthcare is full of advice. Almost none of it has been lived.

Startups
The startup founder
Everyone at the table has an opinion. Almost nobody has operating scars, and your board wants answers, not theories.
Enterprise
The established institution
The consulting decks pile up, the consultants leave, and the decision is still sitting on your desk.
U.S. Market Entry
The team entering the U.S.
A Delaware flip alone doesn’t make you US-ready. Entering wrong is a seven-figure mistake.
That’s why BAHA exists↓

Three practices. One standard: we’ve done it before.

Engage on one strategic area, several, or all of them. Every practice runs on the same fuel: senior operating experience, an investor’s lens, and a network that opens doors.

The origin

Born out of a venture fund. Not a consultancy.

Most advisory firms are built from consulting careers and corporate résumés. BAHA was born inside HIP.fund, an active healthcare venture fund, so every recommendation carries an investor’s diligence and firsthand operating experience, not a slide template.

Active Investing
HIP.fund
Active healthcare venture fund. Every recommendation carries an investor’s read of the market, kept separate from advisory work.

This isn’t advice from the outside. We sit in your leadership meetings, help you make the call, and stay through the next one, from first capital raised through growth. We’ve built companies, advised companies that went on to exits, and invested across the healthcare landscape.

What clients are saying about us.

BAHA is simply the shortest line between 2 points, with 1 point being where your company is now and the other point being where you want your company to be. They know their market and greatly shorten sales cycles while at the same time help you tune your product to meet the specific needs of customers.

Bruce Ettinger

BAHA reviewed our needs and introduced us to a leading cardiologist who created a number of CarePrograms for us. They have helped place us in prestigious speaking slots that we would not have been invited to otherwise. I would recommend BAHA’s Advisory Services to anyone in a heartbeat.

Amer Haider

We count on BAHA to provide us valuable insights to help achieve our product and growth objectives. The market intelligence they provide helps us target our messaging and materials for greater reach with the investor community, fundraising and most importantly, impact to patients.

Gautam R Mahtani
Founder & CEO

We knew how to build a product our customers needed. BAHA helped us build the structure, reporting, and positioning to turn that product into a real business. They’re knowledgeable, insightful, strategic, and exceptionally well-connected, and just as importantly, Samir is someone you genuinely look forward to seeing on every call.

Fair questions.

Are you a consulting firm? +

No. BAHA is an advisory firm. We don’t deliver a deck and disappear, and we don’t just keep billing you hours. We sit alongside your leadership, drive the work with you, and stay accountable to what happens next.

Who do you work with? +

Three lanes: healthcare startups from first capital through growth; institutions (health systems, payers, foundations, and corporations); and international companies entering the U.S. market.

What happens on the first call? +

It’s a working session, not a pitch. Bring one specific decision you’re stuck on. We spend the time on the actual problem, not on introducing ourselves.

How do engagements run? +

Structured and phased. A statement of work created around the decisions in front of you: engage on one strategic area, several, or all of them.

Do you invest as well as advise? +

Yes, our team are active healthcare investors through HIP.fund. Advisory and investing run as two separate businesses with a firewall between them, and we’re transparent up front about how that works for your type of engagement.

What makes BAHA different? +

We’ve operated, built, and advised in healthcare ourselves, and we’re active investors out of a venture fund. Few advisors can say that; most come from consulting, corporate, or clinical backgrounds. That investor’s lens shows up in every recommendation.
